The state of Florida offers a great Wheaten Terrier rescue organization based out of Tampa Bay. The club is for breeders, those who show their dogs, pet owners and everyone who loves Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers. If interested go here: http://flwheatenclub.org
We had the luxury of attending their annual Wheaten picnic. It was AWESOME! To see that many Wheatens all together truly put a smile on our faces. Ted loved it too! He was very well behaved and got compliments on his good looks. I couldn’t stop snapping pictures all day, so here are a few of my favorite:
Not to long ago we took Ted down to one of our favorite dog parks at Fort DeSoto and we had a great surprise. After playing around for a short time we noticed another couple had arrived with their wheaten named Maisy. We were chit chatting briefly with the nice couple and I had yelled out “come here Ted” and the wife instantly said “we know a wheaten named Ted, from Ted TV, an online wheaten blog. Is that the famous Ted?”……………I couldn’t believe it! “That’s us” I replied. We all laughed and I was astonished that a couple vacationing from Rhode Island knew about our blog.
The best part was their appreciation about all of our allergy posts. I was so thankful that we could spread the word to others and help out more wheatens! It was even comical how they showed there concerns for Ted since I hadn’t posted anything for a few months due to laziness. They were hoping everything with his allergies had improved.
It was really cute to watch Ted and Maisy play. Ted being was totally acting like a boy getting all dirty and playing rough, while Maisy was a very well behaved clean young lady. I couldn’t resist running to the car to get the camera! Here are some pic’s from that day:
Today you turn 2 buddy! Just think you were only 12 weeks old and weighed 7lbs when we first brought you home. Thanks for always making us smile and we hope you have a great birthday!
This was Ted at 12 weeks! So cute and clueless in life:

Here Ted is wondering what these tiny little things swimming around are. We are cleaning out our aquarium and its seems like he would love to be friends with the fish! Sorry boy you can’t take them outside to play.
A great website called Next Day Pets which can be found at www.nextdaypets.com announced that my wheaten blog site won the “Cool Pet Website of the Day Award”.
